Once again, our annual chili supper with the Hawkeye Women's Basketball team was a great success. Not only were the coaches and players present, but several of their family members joined us.

Small Group Faith Sharing

 

Small group faith sharing, sponsored by the Evangelization and Stewardship Committee, is once again being planned for the six weeks of Lent Sign-ups will take place in early February. You can get your own group together or we will form a group fo you. Those who participated found it to be very good.

 

Holy Hour for Vocations

 

St. Mary's will have a Holy Hour for Vocations this Thursday at 7 PM in the church.

 

CEW Renewal

 

The Monthly CEW Renewal will be held at St. Mary's Parish Hall following the 5:10 Mass on Saturday, Feb. 11th. This is an informal social gathering. Snacks and beverages are provided and families are welcome.

 

Young Married and Engaged Catholic Adults

 

 Would you like to get together to meet other couples, support each other though life events, and pray together? We invite you to join us on Sunday, March 5th, at 5 PM in St. Mary's parish hall. Catholic Schools Week

 

Regina wishes to thank all of the parishes for the gift of Catholic Education. It would not be possible without the support of all our parishes. Regina has an enrollment of 1,000 including pre-school and daycare, elementary, middle school and high school.

 

This upcoming week is designated at Catholic Schools Week nationwide, and to celebrate Regina will be hosting many activities. There will be a prayer service Monday at 8:30 AM in the elementary gym. On Tuesday, the High School Holy Rollers with Joe Mattingly will lead the elementary students in song. On Thursday, there will be an all-school Mass at 9:30 AM. Next

Monday, February 6th, Fr. Stan Fortuna (sponsored by St.Mary's) will speak to the Junior High and Sr. High students. Please join us in celebration of Catholic Schools Week!

5-8 PM in the original Regina Cafeteria

$5.50 per person

Includes spaghetti and a choice of meat sauce or marinara, salad, bread, dessert and a beverage.

 

Cake Auction

A Cake Auction will be held in the Regina High School lobby starting at 5:30 PM. Top bidders will be announced during half time of the Regina boy's varsity game.

Pancake Breakfast

 

Regina Cub Scout Pack 210 is hosting a pancake breakfast on February 5th from 7:30 AM to noon at the Regina Cafeteria. They will be serving "all you can eat" pancakes, sausage, eggs, juice, and coffee ($5 for adults and $3 for children). The scouts and their families will be preparing the meal. This is the pack's only fundraiser for the year, so please join us!

Regina Booster Club Fish Fry

 

Come and enjoy the Annual Booster Club Fish Fry at Regina Education Center from February 24th through April 14th from 5-8 PM. This year we will be serving in the new and expanded cafeteria! Parking will be located in the lot behind the school, which is closer to the back door of the building. Shrimp or salmon dinners will be $9 and cod or catfish dinners will be $8. To go orders may be called in after 4:30 PM to 338-5436.

The Perpetual Adoration Chapel has been open for 20 years! You are invited for fellowship and refreshments on Sunday, January 29th, from

2-5 PM at St. Patrick's Parish Hall.

 

Johnson County Right to Life– Did you know there is an active pro-life community in Johnson County? Johnson County Right to Life believes in the sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death, and that our society has a responsibility to protect the most vulnerable among us. Meetings are held the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7 PM in the upper room of The Mustard Seed. If you would like more information, please call 351-2889 or email us at jcrtl@hotmail.com.

 

The 9th Annual DVIP Souper Bowl (Domestic Violence Intervention Program), a dinner to support services for victims of domestic violence, will be held on Thursday, February 2nd from 5:30-7:30 PM at the Quality Inn and Suites Highlander Conference Center. Area restaurants are donating their best soups and breads. For a donation of $15, you can choose a unique bowl to take home after enjoying great soup and terrific company! We are at a new location with more space and parking!
