EVANGELIZATION GOAL 1

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
To bring about in all Catholics such an enthusiasm for their faith that, in living their faith in Jesus, they freely share it with others.

REST IN PEACE

We pray for the repose of the souls of Eldon Yeggy, brother of Juanita Bushman; and Susan Butler, mother of P. Parry Butler; Mary Hebl, mother of Larry Hebl and sister of Agnes Maier.

May they be welcomed into everlasting life!

Taize Prayer

Taize Prayer, a chant form of prayer and scripture, is held in the church at 5 PM each Sunday evening during Lent. The music is absolutely beautiful! Everyone is invited.

Stations of the Cross

During the Lenten season, St. Mary's has Stations of the Cross and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament every Friday evening at 6 PM in the church. This is a great opportunity to reflect on Jesus' sacrificial love for us all.

Saint Anthony's Bread

In February 2006, we assisted 26 families or individuals with rent, utilities and water bills. We purchased three bus tickets and made partial payment for medication and prescription eye glasses. We paid the fee for a GED and for Help Watch so that a man with chronic illness could safely remain in his home. In all, we provided assistance to 47 households in our community. The following is from a note we recently received: "Thank you very much for your generous donation to give money for me to be able to get my medication. I needed that medication to help me stay healthy with my diabetes. God is looking out for me, through you." Thank you St. Mary's, for your friendship to the poor.

THOUGHTS ON STEWARDSHIP Of all the wonderful gifts that God has given to us, the gift of His own Son is truly the greatest. How can we ever thank God for a gift like that?

Choose Life Prayer - We pray for all those involved in abortion in any way, that they may seek God who is rich in mercy and love.

Vocation View - God so loved the world that He gave his only Son. What can we give in return?
